'Dreams Can Indeed Become Reality.' On Christmas night in 2011, Jaiden Shephard had a dream about ties that would soon change the trajectory of his life for the better. Therefore Vintage Ties by Jaiden (VTJ) was launched in February 2012 in a small church in Detroit, from a single necktie for reference and $8.00. (It is important to note that then and to date, 28-year-old Jaiden is entirely self-taught and has no prior educational experience in the fashion industry.)

'VTJ' exists to design and create primarily unique PRE-TIED (hand-tied available upon request) bowties, neckties, and other neck products from recycled/vintage fabrics. In just five years, Vintage Ties by Jaiden has seen steady growth and exposure, being featured in over 80 fashion shows and fashion-related events, including WALK Fashion Show , Michigan Fashion Week, PLITZS (NYC), and New York Fashion Week... four seasons in three years! 'VTJ' has also been featured off-the-runway in dozens of photo shoots (including internationally in Toronto), published in local and regional magazines, local news outlets, cable access television, radio, stage plays, and more. Noted is 'VTJ' ties appearing on media & entertainment clientele ranging from BET to OWN.

'VTJ' also has an humanitarian side: it supports fashion and public events with an initiative to make better communities and raising awareness of social issues; a portion of all 'VTJ' revenues go back into serving low-income communities in Jaiden's hometown of Detroit. As you can see, 'VTJ' is about MORE THAN JUST TIES: It's the message of positivity, positive change, and valid dreams. The journey continues...
